ジョーカー

藤堂志津子著のジョーカーという小説を読んだ。
I read a novel "JOKER" which is written by Shizuko Toudou.

年令毎の3部構成になっており、万穂子という一人の女性が、札幌を舞台に各部でどういう男性と付き合ってきたか、修羅場においてどうジョーカー(切り札)として役割を果たしたか、また最終的に心の闇をどう晴らすか、を描いたものだ。
This novel is composed with three parts they are divided for three ages of a heroine who is Mahoko. Thesises of this novel are her relationship with three kinds of men, her rolls at complicated situations as a joker, and how she solves her mental problem. The location of this story is Sapporo city.

最近、男性作家の作品を手にすることが多く、女性作家の作品を久しぶりに読んだ。
In these days, I often read novels written by men. It has been a long time since I last read women's.

その違いは、前から感じていた事だが、極めの細やかさ。 ちょっとした場面でも登場人物の心理が細やかに記されている。
The difference between men's and women's is sensitivity to express mental states of characters. I have felt this for a long time.

それにより、深く物語の中に、まるで自分が入り込んでいるかのような錯覚を覚える。
As a result, I felt that I could exist in this story.

女性が主人公であるし、ドロドロした展開もあるので、マーケットは女性だろう。
Target of this story is women because heroine is woman and also there are complicated situations between man and woman.

どの年代の女性が好んで読むのかは分からないが、読み手の年代によって捉え方は異なるものになるだろう。
I am not sure which women's ages like this story, but interpretations are supposed to be different for reader's age.

小説自体、19歳、27歳、32歳の万穂子を描いた構成のため、10代後半から30代まで幅広く楽しめるのではないだろうか。
In addition, this story is composed by three chapters of 19, 27, and 32 years olded Mahoko. So, I think women from the end of teenager to 30s would enjoy this novel.

家庭内の問題により、闇を抱えた万穂子の心情が、最後にパッと晴れていく様子が新春の雪解けを思わせる作品です。
Metal state of Mahoko changes from darkness to brightness at the end of story. It is like melting snow in spring season.
