金融ブローカーの身辺警備や運転手といった闇の仕事をしていた原口泰三は、ある取引に巻き込まれる。
Taizo Haraguchi who works for broker as a bodyguard is involved with one deal.

その取引がこじれる基となっている書類を持ち、那覇へ逃亡する。
He ran away to Okinawa with some documents which make that deal complicated.

その那覇で出会ったのは、10年前に１週間だけの恋に落ちた順子であった。
He coincidentaly met Junko whom he had fallen in love with for just one week ten years ago.

国外逃亡を計画する泰三とその手助けをする順子との行方や如何に。
Can you guess the consequence, that Taizo plans flying away abroad, and Junko helps his plan?

個人的にはサスペンスものの小説を初めて読むことになったのだが、意外と夢中になった。
It was my first time to read a suspense novel; although, I unexpectedly was absorbed to read it.

今回は最も気に入った台詞を紹介しよう。
I would like to introduce a sentence which is my favourite in this novel.

「飛行機のパイロットが地上の様子を見えているかといったらそうでない。同じようにバーテンも客の気持ちなんて分からないものですよ」
"I suppose flight pilots could not understand the ground conditions. Bartenders could not make sense of customers' feeling as well."

仲間との連絡に公衆電話を使う主人公に、時代の変化を感じる作品です。
This novel makes us feel nostalgia because Taizo used public telephone to contact his colleague.
