It is the movie featuring the most popular detective in the world, you know.

サスペンスというよりもアクション要素が強いな。
This movie's category is rather action than suspense.

しかし、ホームズの魅力は充分に伝わる。
However, this movie is sufficient to show how fascinating Holmes is.

ホームズはたとえ初対面であっても、その人の経歴や癖、職業を言い当てる。
Holmes can reveal his/her personal history, habits, and occupation even if he meets him/her at the first time.

靴の汚れ、指輪の跡、絆創膏、いかなる小さなヒントも見逃さない。
Holmes does not miss however little the hints are, such as the stain of shoes, a mark of engaged ring, and bandaged hand.

その推理力は警察が頭を悩ます犯罪者、Blockwoodの捜査においても遺憾なく発揮される。
His guess is fully enhanced to investigate for Blockwood who harasses the Scotland Yard with continuous crimes.

この映画のおもしろい所は、ピンチを切り抜けるアクションシーンとは対照的なホームズの推理シーンだと考える。
I think the reason why this movie is exciting is the brilliance of guess scenes rather than the thrill of action scenes.
