気が進まない。
I would not like to write down about this novel.

タイトルを見ただけで読むと決めた本。
I decided to read this novel for just its title.

ミステリーと呼ばれるジャンルだが、事件を中心に物語が進行するのは後半部分。
It is classified into mystery, but this novel would not happen any affairs in the latter part.

前半は主人公であるジェシカや、その周辺についての説明。
Most of the first half is about Jessica, her friends and her team.

走るのが好きなエチオピア人のジェシカは、家族と一緒に出稼ぎにアメリカへ来た。
Jessica who likes running come from Ethiopia for earning money with her family.

陸上クラブチームの監督にスカウトされ、マラソンを始める。
She was scouted by a coach of a marathon club team, and then she started her career as a Marathon runner.

ある大会の最中に監督が何者かに殺される。
But, the coach was killed by someone during a race.

各章毎に時間軸が動くが、読みやすい。
Each chapter has own time lines, but it is not so confusing.

ジェシカが習慣としているエチオピア独自の暦についてはよく調べてあるな〜と感じた。
I feel the writer studied well about the calendar of Ethiopia which is original in there.

ミステリーを期待していなかった僕としては、何だか変な構成だな～と。
Actually, I did not expect for a mysterious story, so I think it is a strange construction.

この部分いらなくね？みたいな所があるが、物語の1部としては必要なんだろうな〜。
Some parts are not in need for me, but it might be important for making story.

よく分からん。
I can not make sense.
