英語の学習法＠リスニング

個人的にリスニングはかなり苦手だ。というのも、音感は重要だと思っている。

Personally, I know my weak point is listening because I do not have a good sense of pitch.

例えば「V」と「B」では、音の出し方が違うのだが、その違いをイマイチ聞き取れない。

For example, a difference in between v sound and b sound is clear for how to make these sounds, but I can not find whether I heard which sound for the lack of the sense.

単語さえ覚えていれば、部分的な音の違いを聞き取れなくても何の単語かは分かるので、そこまで問題視はしていない。

However, I do not think it is a critical point to understand what people say. I mean it is important to remenber the whole sound of words.

だが、聞き取れるのに越したことはない。

Honestly, I would like to find the difference of sounds.

リスニングを鍛えるために何が重要か。それは、なぜ聞き取れないのか自分で分析することだろう。

What you train for improvement is analysis of reasons why you could not catch.

下記の3パターンが要因でないかと考えている。

I suppose that the following three points are solution.

１．その単語を知らない。I do not know the word.

単純に知らない単語なのか、その音を知らないだけなのか。知らない単語は覚える必要があるし、目で読めても、耳で音を聞いたことがない単語は、聞き取れないことが多い。単語を覚えるときは、綴りと一緒に音も覚えよう。

I need to analyze whether I do not know the words or its sound. If I do not know the word, I need to remember it. In addition, I can not hardly catch the word I have never heard. I need to learn its sound as well as its spell. 

２．固有名詞か。Proper noun.

人の名前や地名など、固有名詞は聞き取れない場合が多い。昨日見た007の映画に出てきた女性はVesperという名前だった。文脈の中で、何が固有名詞なのか分析する必要がある。

I can not catch proper nouns such as names of people or places. I could not catch a character name; Vesper, who is a woman in a series of 007 yesterday I watched. I need to analysis what is the proper noun in context.

３．単語と単語の間を繋げている。Linkng words.

英語を滑らかに話す人は、単語と単語の間を繋げて、話す時の手間を省いている。日本語にはないルールなので、覚える必要がある。代表的なのは、「want to」を「wanna」と発音するものか。I've やI'dはごくわずかな音なので意識しなくても聞き取れるようにする必要がある。しかし、ここが聞き取れなくても、相手の言ってる意味が分かる場合も多い。

People who can speak English fluently tend to omit time by linking words. This rule is supposed to be not in Japanese language, so I need to remember this rule. "Wanna" is a typical example. I do not wanna concentrate for the weak sounds such as I've and I'd, but I often understand the meaning of what they say without these sounds.

このようになぜ聞き取れないのか、自分の弱点を自分で分析し、どこを強化すべきなのかを明確にして素材を選ぶのが良いだろう。

In conclusion, I need to choose textbooks to improve my weak points after analysis.
